Aniimo PC Requirements — Minimum, Recommended Specs & Fixes

Aniimo's PC requirements land it in "moderately demanding" territory: a 2016-era GPU meets the minimum, but the recommended spec targets current mid-range cards. Here are the official numbers from the Steam page and launcher FAQ, plus the two known issues worth fixing before you play.

Minimum Requirements (Per Steam)

64-bit Windows 10 or newer; Intel Core i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700; 8GB RAM; NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 5600; DirectX 11; broadband connection; 40GB free storage. Older systems are hard-excluded: Windows 7 and 8 won't run the game, nor will any 32-bit OS — the launcher FAQ is explicit. If your machine meets exactly this floor, expect 1080p low settings around 30-60fps depending on scene density.

Recommended Requirements

Windows 10+ (64-bit); Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600; 16GB RAM; NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 6700; DirectX 11; 40GB storage. Game8's separate guide cites a higher tier (i7-12700F / Ryzen 7 7700X) for max-quality targets — treat the Steam spec as the official "recommended" and Game8's as "high-refresh 1440p+." Community benchmarks on high-end hardware report 90-120fps at 1440p high with occasional dips in creature-dense areas.

Storage and Install Notes

Budget 40GB, and install on an SSD if possible — the official pre-download announcement recommends it explicitly, and open-world streaming stutters on hard drives. Two install-path notes: the game always launches through the Aniimo launcher (even from Steam/Epic, which don't support pre-download — only the official launcher does), and avoid non-ASCII characters in the install path, which the FAQ flags as a breakage risk.

The 13th/14th-Gen Intel Issue (Fix Before Playing)

Pawprint Studio confirmed a stability defect affecting 13th and 14th-generation Intel Core processors — symptoms are crashes and visual artifacts. The official fix is published on the launcher's news page (newslist/detail/100100). If you're on a recent Intel build, apply it before long sessions; unpatched, the game can hard-crash mid-Alpha hunt.

Other Official Troubleshooting Notes

White screen at launch: install the DirectX 11 runtime (the FAQ's first suggestion). Antivirus blocking the launcher: add it to your whitelist. Display scaling: keep in-game scaling at or below 125% at 1080p. Coming from the closed beta: uninstall the old test client completely before installing — the beta build cannot patch forward. And if you're upgrading a whole system for the game, remember it's free-to-play: the "trial" costs nothing, so hardware checks can happen before any purchase decision (there isn't one).

Steam Deck and Handheld Status

Steam lists Aniimo as "Unknown" for Deck compatibility — unverified by Valve, unsupported by the developer, who told their Discord no Linux version is planned. Community results are nonetheless playable: Proton 10 with a desktop-mode first launch and a Gamepad-template controller config gets near-stable 60fps on Deck OLED per community testing, with FSR the key frame-rate lever. Treat it as a tinkerer's option, not a supported platform.
