Aniimo Platforms — PC, PS5, Xbox, Mobile & Cloud (No Switch)

Aniimo launched across four platform families — PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and mobile — with full crossplay between them, but the list has notable gaps and platform-specific quirks worth knowing before you pick where to play. Here's every official platform with what makes each version different.

PC: Four Stores, One Launcher

PC offers the widest choice: Steam, the Epic Games Store, the Xbox PC app, and the official Aniimo launcher. Two quirks matter. First, every installation routes through the Aniimo launcher and an Aniimo Pass login, even when launched from Steam. Second, only the official launcher supported the pre-download — Steam and Epic downloads went live at launch. The Steam version carries 64 achievements and supports Steam Family Sharing.

PS5: DualSense Perks and a Server Trap

The PS5 version uses DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, supports 3D audio and full accessibility options, and requires installation on the internal SSD (30-35GB; PS4 is not supported). Pre-order packs were available on the PlayStation Store ($9.99 Advanced / $19.99 Collector's, with the PS-exclusive Fluffy Friend accessory). The critical PS5-specific rule: your server is auto-assigned from your PSN account's registered region — verify it matches where your other platforms' characters live before first login, because the account-linking popup appears only once.

Xbox Series X|S: Play Anywhere and Game Pass

Xbox treats Aniimo as a Play Anywhere title: one purchase of any paid pack covers Xbox console and Xbox PC, with cloud saves in between. The game is cloud-playable through Xbox Cloud Gaming on Game Pass Essential/Premium/Ultimate tiers — streamable to phones, tablets, PCs and the console itself. Day-One Game Pass members received an exclusive reward pack. The Xbox-exclusive pre-order accessory is Doggo Dude. Note cloud play requires a fast, stable connection per the official FAQ.

Mobile: The Full Game in Your Pocket

Mobile (iOS and Android, launched September 23, 2026) is the complete game on the same servers — not a companion app. Minimum specs are iPhone 12 Pro / iOS 16 / 6GB and Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 / Dimensity 9000 / Android 10 / 6GB, with installs approaching 35GB. Mobile joins the same cross-save pool: sign in with your Aniimo Pass and your PC or console save continues on your phone.

What About Switch, Mac and Linux?

Nintendo Switch / Switch 2: not available and not announced. FunPlus's official platform announcements never included Nintendo hardware, and launch coverage states the exclusion directly. Mac: no native version — the only route is Xbox Cloud Gaming in a browser. Linux: the developers said on their Discord that no Linux port is planned, which is why Steam Deck shows "Unknown" compatibility (community Proton runs work with tweaks, but it's unsupported).

Which Platform Should You Choose?

Pick PC for settings control and the official launcher's pre-download convenience; PS5 for DualSense haptics if you're PlayStation-ecosystem; Xbox for Play Anywhere flexibility and cloud play across devices; mobile for the same save on your commute. Because progress shares across all of them (same server, linked Aniimo Pass), the honest answer is that most players will eventually use two — a main platform and mobile for dailies. Choose your server first; it's the only platform decision that can't be undone.
